Fantastic security system with easy installation, clear video and picture quality at an exceptional price. The system comes with 4 cameras with power supply. The instructions are simple and the installation is quick, it takes about 30 minutes to install the system. You will need your own hard drive as this is not included with the system. As soon as you boot up the system, you will be presented with an installation wizard that will guide you through a quick and easy setup. The only confusing thing is that at the end of the wizard you get a QR code for the app. Don't use the QR code, it's at the end of the guide, use it instead and you can download the application. The cameras feature motion detection as well as a spotlight that turns on when motion is detected. The sensitivity and surveillance zones can be adjusted in the software to reduce false alarms, which is handy if you have pets around. The quality of the system is good, the cameras have a cover to protect the lens. The app has great controls, you can control the system and check notifications sent via text messages. In addition, you can save and share all the videos and images captured with the system. You can also tag any camera in the app. One thing missing is the lack of sound for text alerts, as this is a software issue I hope they add this feature in a future update. Another feature I would like to add is Power Over Ethernet (POE) which provides additional installation flexibility, but this is not a determining factor, it is an additional option. Before installing the cameras I would think about where you want the cameras and how you are going to route the cables. The power cord that comes with the camera could be a bit longer, but overall it's a decent length. If you have an old house like mine, you'll need to drill a few holes and run wires in the attic to get a seamless install with no wires visible. I highly recommend a home security system because you get everything you need except for a hard drive and a simple setup in the box: less than 30 minutes to set up your cameras, not including setup time for each camera, which varies from person to person can to person.
