Review on Coffee maker VITEK VT-1517 BN, brown by Ada Jadczak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

The machine is perfect for your money. If there were a professional holder here and water temperature control, there would be no price at all (for this brand). Washes quickly. And it is necessary to do so. Also, at least once every three days, unscrew the boiler valve and strainer and rinse. Coffee oils are collected there. It is easy to disassemble - after removing the holder, unscrew the valve with a flat screwdriver and rinse.) The cappuccinatore is also easy to clean. disassembles into 4 parts with easy hand movements). About "dripping from the holder": the design is such that while the machine is turned on, the boiler constantly heats up (maintains the temperature so that you can immediately start preparing the next cup), respectively, in the boiler, the remaining water turns into steam so that the boiler does not burst, the pressure that forms there is bled through the spring-loaded valve above the holder. That is why, in order to equalize the temperature in the boiler and the temperature of the holder, it is necessary to pour water through the group before pouring coffee. Try to unscrew it (valve) and turn on the machine - it will never enter the mode, because. will not warm up, And in order not to burn the heating element, part of the water is always present there (you don’t turn on the kettle without water).

Pros
  • Excellent coffee maker. It has been working for 4 years (as soon as it came out, they immediately bought it). I make coffee in a fully manual mode according to all the rules for making coffee (warming up a group / holder, coffee in grams, 25 seconds for pressing 18 grams, etc.) We do not use automatic programs. Once (probably two years later) I dismantled everything to the screw, washed it and cleaned it. I was surprised that the boiler is of a closed type (dry heating element). I use boiled water. The boiler is clean, like new, no scale. Coffee is always fragrant and there is coffee foam. The cappuccinatore is excellent. If you make foam in a pitcher, and not in a cup, then nothing is splashed. Then pour it into espresso with a pitcher and it’s easy to even make a drawing on coffee. Milk warms up to 61-62 degrees perfectly simply. Beats even 1.5 percent (not chemistry) milk.
Cons
  • The holder has a plastic spout. this is a huge minus. From pressing the tamper a couple of times, the fastening of the spout to the holder itself was already broken. Once glued - not for long. Another time he melted it with a lighter and spun it. Seems like it's been on for a year now. (on aliexpress 1000r is a new one). About the "declared" heating of cups: the heating platform is located directly above the boiler. And that's it, there are no additional heating elements there. So it will not warm anything up, but you can warm the cup with boiling water or steam from the cappuccinatore in the "cleaning" mode, for example.
