We have a small sink in the bar that we used to use mainly for making coffee and washing coffee paraphernalia. While brewing coffee, I noticed sediment floating in the carafe. Our filtered water dispenser in our fridge is also noisy and slow (which is disappointing as it's a built-in GE Monogram product). Eventually it dawned on us to put a filter under the sink and use the wet bar to quickly fill water glasses or water bottles with clean water and also have filtered water for coffee. This filter removes sediment from the water instantly, which is great. While I'm sure the sediment was harmless, it's nice to see perfectly clear water. Also the taste of the water is very good and clean. Indistinguishable from bottles IMO. The flow rate does not change when the filter is installed, which was very easy if you have BASIC plumbing skills and can use a wrench. I connected the filter to the cold side under the sink and then used the hot side for rinsing and cleaning to avoid unnecessary filter work and keep it alive until it needs replacing. Too bad we didn't get it sooner!
