Stamping quality control is not very good. When I got the punch I used it on my 100 mile flights. Align the flight fairly straight ahead in the rail and punch a hole. I punched three turns and when I tried to insert the ring I noticed a problem, the hole was not centered. Upon closer inspection of the stamp, I saw an area on the guide that had not been properly machined. Replacement requested from Revain. When it arrived I took a closer look to stop ruining my more expensive flights and found a similar issue. It was a little better this time, but there was a piece of metal in the same place as the first time. It was more like metal shavings that I could break off. I then used a small file to clean it up. I tested the hammer drill on one of the flights and the results were much better. I sent the first one back and am considering keeping this one. I'm not sure what the long-term reliability of this strike will be. After ruining my three good flights, I might try to find a few cheap flights to test out the beat, or I might just go through all the included flights. The included flights are typical flights that come with cheap darts. They're good for my "cheap" darts that friends use, but if you're more than a beginner and constantly throwing tight groups, you'll tear them apart in just a few games. I expected this when booking and my review does not reflect the quality of the flights. The punch is unfortunately of lower quality than expected. If you don't want to risk returning it, spend a few bucks more for a better quality punch.
