Review on Penn Plax Walk Litter Cabinet by Raquel Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Poor packaging, production and customer service. Beware.

This is a regular cabinet that hides the trash drawer well and is tall enough for me to use as a printer stand. It seems durable and my cats use it. My problem with him was the customer service from Pennplax, the manufacturer. When I received my first cabinet the box was dented but didn't look overly damaged, however when I opened it the plastic bag containing the screws and hardware was open and some of those items were loose or missing from the box. I then look at other parts of the cabinet and find that the tray has three huge cracks from loose screws and damaged wood panels. So I contact the manufacturer to see if they can help me. They are nice enough and say they can replace damaged and missing parts. I ended up waiting two weeks and never heard from them again, so I contacted them again. I get an answer that the parts are sold out and I have to wait a bit. It's disappointing but good and so I'm waiting. I wait another three weeks and again hear nothing, contact the manufacturer and express my disappointment that I can't install the tablet for more than a month at the moment. They reply and say they can't help me and I should contact Revane for a refund. Unfortunately I do and fortunately there is no charge for returning a damaged item. I get a replacement within 3-4 days and lo and behold, this one is also broken although I have all the screws. I manage to get an almost intact closet between the two I currently have, but it's horrible to put together and the doors still don't line up properly. I'm an advanced Ikea builder, so building something out of the box is nothing new to me. All in all, this closet costs less than 100 euros and if I were you I wouldn't waste my time and money on it.
