As a mid-century collector I was so excited when I found this cabinet. However, I didn't like the way the plate was framed. I knew my wary cat would not jump over that entrance and end up in her box. This cat box is AMAZING. I read so many negative reviews about it and risked some good ones and I'm glad I did! It has arrived safely! SO easy to assemble! CONSISTENT! The quality is really right. It holds up like a real closet table that can hold heavier items like potted plants (mine weighs about 20 pounds). Don't hit the magnet exactly so that it opens easily. So we bought this cabinet as a toilet seat. After we picked it up, our cat immediately liked it. And the assembly part? Well, even with two clever people and printed instructions, we still had a hard time. Problem? If the parts were labeled somehow, like A, B, C, D…. d, that would be so easy! I've seen complaints about the packaging and instructions, but mine arrived intact and with instructions. I was able to assemble it without instructions. I'm an engineer so maybe I like it more than others. You should correct the white balance in your photos of the item as it looks much better in real life. This is a regular cabinet that hides the trash drawer well and is tall enough for me to use as a printer stand. It seems durable and my cats use it. My problem with him was the customer service from Pennplax, the manufacturer. When I received my first cabinet the box was dented but didn't look overly damaged, however when I opened it the plastic bag containing the screws and hardware was open and some of those items were loose or missing from the box. I love the colors and they were very easy to assemble. However, the doors are not properly aligned. When you install it, one of the doors hangs slightly lower than the other, which makes it look very odd from the front. I've tried moving it around and playing with the hinges thinking I'd done something wrong, but it's just the way it's cut, it's off about an eighth of an inch from where the hinges are located on one of the doors.
