Not suitable for pin headers

The heads on them are 2.9mm in diameter making them unsuitable for plating through holes for standard 2.54mm pitch pin headers :(

Perfect for what I need. Fast delivery.

I used these grommets (I call them) on a 1940-42 pre-war Lionel train. I used them to repair the E block (changes the train from forward to reverse) on my pre-war 1666 Lionel train. The E-Block's contact fingers are attached to a tiny printed circuit board with two tabs. I had to swap two finger contacts from a broken board to a working one. Worked great.

Tiny little rivets

I thought they would resemble the lugs used on circuit boards. They're actually more like rivets, as the name suggests. They make good reinforced "vias" or connectors for wires on circuit boards. I don't have tools to crimp them, but I drill a small press-fit hole, drive them in, and then place the board on a hard surface to mount. I either use a punch with nails to widen the top a bit, or I put a small ball bearing on top and lightly press on the arbor press. To fix holes in PCBs that are…
