I just received this ladder, unpacked and used it in my garage. I haven't used it yet. First impression: The ladder looks well made and runs smoothly. I bought one that was longer than I thought I needed because it wasn't much more expensive. I now realize that I should have gotten one that fits my needs because for my actual application it may have been heavier and more difficult to work with. It's fairly obvious how to extend the ladder, but the removal instructions are confusing. . You need to press 2 buttons to unlock each section. I suppose this is to avoid pinching your fingers, but it's pretty slow. It looks like it takes 2 steps to retract each section. In addition, every section strikes. I've since seen other stairs where each section retracts in turn and has a cushioning feature to keep them from banging. It seems preferable, but I won't know how much I like it until I use it.
