Great for large wood lathes

Because I need to move a very heavy wood lathe from time to time and I don't want to pay the lathe manufacturer's $500 for a set of wheels, I decided to give it a try these leveling casters. I removed the cast iron swivel feet to replace the standard adjustable feet with casters. Installing the casters required drilling and tapping on the legs, but working with cast iron made this task easier. Now when I want to move the lathe I gently lift the end with a bottle jack and put the legs to the side, repeat the same on the other end and the lathe moves easily through the workshop. The roller pivot bearings are very strong and don't hit me at all when riding. After positioning, I repeat raising the end and adjusting the legs to align the lathe in the new position on the floor. I might not have to lift the ends to move the legs up and down, but that just makes it effortless. I am completely satisfied with the solution these videos offer.

Pros
  • The kit includes: 4 x 250 kg adjustment rollers
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
