I use this on my Invalisign retainers and wow! My first test with it, I didn't clean my retainers, just filled them with tap water. My retainers were pretty rough so they were cleaner after the first run but still had something on them. I flipped the fixers and started them again. They came out like new! After this first double cleaning of my retainers, all I have to do is run them once. I no longer have to clean my retainers, I just pop them in (usually upside down) and voila! I am not familiar with dentures or any other item but I have not used any cleaning powder/solution on the Invisalign retainers and they still stay fresh. It makes noise, but I usually jump straight into the shower (the water drowns out the noise) or walk out of the bathroom and close the door. It's not loud enough to hear behind a closed door. My only complaint is that the basket no longer slides out, requiring me to store the entire unit next to the sink (or leave a very long cord hanging from the counter). But they tell you that in the description so you know what you're getting. I wish I knew about this when I had aligners!
