I was obsessed with The Hunger Games for a while and love both the books and the movies. I received an e-gift certificate from Revain.com in the mail for my birthday and started shopping online right away! I loved this cast and every review said it's great for any Hunger Games fan. I quickly added it to my shopping cart after looking at other suggested roles. It cost me $19.99 with free shipping, so for the price I was expecting something plush and soft. It arrived earlier than expected (I ordered it late Thursday evening, it was dispatched on Friday and I received it on Monday), which is one of the reasons I gave it three stars. I tore open the package (it was HUGE for such a small thing. There was a lot of packaging inside and I wrote to the seller that they could easily put it in bubble mail, it folds and is not "fragile". ) . First I saw the design. They were beautiful, vibrant colors that stood out against the black background and I loved the details of the iconic mockingbird brooch emblem. Then I took it out of the box and picked it up. That was my big disappointment - it's very thin fleece, similar to any "dollar store" throw you can buy for $3. It's not quite "soft and comfortable" like I thought it would be. I think I'll just hang it on the wall above my bed and buy it cheaper elsewhere - I found a site that sells Peeta or Katniss throws for $6.50 so I don't worry if they go bad ! I don't understand how this blanket can withstand constant washing and daily wear. The only thing expensive is the printing on the plaid, otherwise I can't tell the difference between the fleece plaids my dogs use and this one! A little disappointed.
