My ThinkPad laptop is 13 inch with Type-C and HDMI. It looks like it can only use Type-C to power monitors. So for the side HDMI connection, I had to connect to a powered Type-C. I also tried it on my friend's 13" MacBook Pro. With Type-C on each side, the installation was easier than mine... I also checked the resolution and the sound, one speaker per monitor. The resolution is for my 4k video very good. Although it was 1080HD. Overall the setup was easy for me. And so far I think the product is worth the price. The seller was very nice and patient while explaining the product to me. I can do the whole setup easily move it anywhere in the house.Very portable which is what I like the most.
