Review on Ultra Wide Angle Zoom Lens for SLR Cameras - Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM by Park Seo Jun

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Excellent piece that is also quite attractive. Everything from colors to working with backlight to the flexibility of the picture to the L-drawing is included on the metsa. The minimal focusing distance enables you to experiment with macro photography of a medium-sized subject. On a crop, I put it to work as a member of the staff. He copes with this work not at all 100 - it is large for a carcass xxxd (and even more so with a hood) and behaves not in the best way at the far end. Despite this, it was designed to be as broad as possible for a complete frame (mainly a landscape), and I have no doubt that it displays its excellence in this quality. The aperture is frequently insufficient, however this, contrary to what some may say, is not a flaw but rather a characteristic of the camera. Therefore, the landscape width does not call for a particularly huge aperture. Verdikit: great for shooting stunning landscapes, but the ef-s 15-85 will probably do better than this lens when it comes to the role of being a universal workhorse for crop cameras in this price range.

Pros
  • It completely retains backlight, the color reproduction and contrast are good, and the focusing is both quick and accurate. The quality of the materials and the assembly are of the highest standard.
Cons
  • At 40, it's little soapy and heavy.
