The monitor worked well for five weeks before the picture began to distort. Below is an email I sent to LG regarding my (pending) attempts to repair the monitor. ------------------------------------------------ -- -------------------------------------- At the end of August I contacted LG about repairing my new monitor. I ordered it through Revain and the screen became distorted after about five weeks of use. LG customer service initially told me they could call a technician to come to my house to fix the monitor. Then I waited for them to call me to give me the schedule for the meeting. A few days later I called LG again to register. They found out I didn't have a local mechanic. I would have to send in my monitor. Nobody called me to tell me about it, they waited for me to call them back. Eventually I received a shipping label and shipped the monitor to LG around September 5th. I didn't get any further updates from LG until I emailed them about three weeks later. I was told that the monitor was "pending" to be repaired and no further information was given. I called LG again around October 9th and was again told that a repair was being considered and they would be waiting for a replacement part. Then I left home for three weeks on business. When I got back I called LG again on October 30th and was told the same thing. The repair was "pending" and they didn't have the part. I then called LG every two days until I was told the repair could not be completed and I would be given a refund or replacement. Then unexpectedly the monitor was repaired and shipped back to me around November 7th. However, I shipped the AC adapter with my monitor in September as advised by LG customer service. The monitor was returned without a power supply. I immediately called LG and said I had to send the adapter back. They agreed on that. Today (November 15) received a package from LG p. power cord. But no switch. Accord is cheap and easy to replace. If I didn't have an Accord I would just buy a new one. I needed a special and expensive adapter. I called LG and they said I would get it. within 3-10 business days. Bought this monitor in July. I could only use it for five weeks. The other 4 months that I have owned this monitor it has been damaged and unusable, it has been to an LG repair shop (status pending) or has been returned to me but no power supply/chord. LG disappointed me at every stage of the repair. You have given me incorrect information or no information at all. They waited for me to call them and check for updates instead of giving me updates. And in the end only part of the goods were returned. I still don't even know if the repair worked because I can't turn on the monitor. This was the most disappointing customer service experience of my life. When I was told I would get a refund I was very happy because I knew I would be buying a monitor from another company with that money. I'm dying to get my adapter to see if the repair was successful. This is a good monitor (when it works) but I can promise you I will never buy LG electronics again.
