Review on CraftsOfEgypt Alabaster Marble Candle Holder Votive Cup: Authentic Egyptian Stone Crafted by Thomas Drew

Not at all the colors depicted

Sadly, I'm going to return this. It's nothing like the warm amber tones depicted in the pictures. When your candle isn't lit, which is 95% of the time, it's a pale off-white. I looked over Crafts of Egypt's other products on revain and I have to say that it seems the sellers are careful to always photograph these holders with a lit candle inside so the colors appear much warmer and richer than they actually are. Actually I take responsibility for not realizing this sooner -- after all, "alabaster" means white! But I also feel that the sellers lead us into thinking these are the more popular warm tones. If you're fine with white, go for it! If you're looking for the gold/ orange/ yellow tones we see in salt rock candles, you should get a salt rock candle.
