CraftsOfEgypt Alabaster Marble Candle Holder Votive Cup: Authentic Egyptian Stone Crafted Review

Sadly, I'm going to return this. It's nothing like the warm amber tones depicted in the pictures. When your candle isn't lit, which is 95% of the time, it's a pale off-white. I looked over Crafts of Egypt's other products on revain and I have to say that it seems the sellers are careful to always photograph these holders with a lit candle inside so the colors appear much warmer and richer than they actually are. The item was shipped very fast with no problems. Sadly I had to return it, the one I received was more of a beige with white stripes running through it. I wanted more of the amber color pictured. I realize that because it is natural stone, the color will vary. I did not think it would vary that much. I would have kept it if the color had been closer to the amber color. I should have taken a picture to show the difference, but I did not even think about it.

This is one of those order-something-and-get-a-surprise type products. As the description states, the actual look of the stone may vary. OK, I'm all in! The product I received was terrific - although the overall shape was the same the colors of the alabaster stone is not what was illustrated. Surprise! For me that surprise was great. I love the candle holder, it’s very beautiful. The miss comes from the TERRIBLE packaging, it arrived in a amazon bag packaging. The holder was placed in one single piece of bubble wrap in a box and then placed in a bag. From the first two photos you can see, mine was cracked, I can feel the crack with my finger and this is NOT apart of the Alabaster design unfortunately. This alabaster candle holder is beautiful. The surface is pale white and smooth, with veins running through it that look amazing when the candle inside is lit. (It is not yellow or gold as the pictures make it look)It is one of the best presents my husband ever bought me.

The amber glow is the photos is misleading. The glow from the candle is mainly white. Very disappointed. The stone material may absorb smells from the candle and be difficult to remove.

These candle holders turned out to be even nicer than pictured and described. What a pleasant surprise! They were shipped very quickly, and they were well-packed to avoid possible shipping damage. I am extremely pleased with the entire transaction and highly recommend Crafts of Egypt. I would definitely buy from them again.

I would give these 5 stars except the candle holders sent do not match in the slightest. I realize they are individual and would not be the same but was hoping for similar as with 2 it would be obvious I would want a pair. One is VERY cool looking and the other blah.
