I was looking for a jacket that offered reasonably good protection at a good price. The quality of this jacket is very good for the price. The stripe on it is silver reflective material on the sides and back instead of the front, I need something other riders can see the contrast so they don't pull out in front of me. The fit is consistent with the fit chart on their website and I'm strictly off the bust. I didn't like that the jacket didn't sit lower on the back - which means the wind blows up the back, which is good on warm days but bad on cold days. The shoulder armor doesn't stay in place well, the armor is a small piece and the jacket holder for it is huge in comparison. In the event of a fall, the odds may not be that the protective piece is where it should be. There is no valve behind the zipper to protect against wind, it's normal in summer, but it's bad in winter. For the price this is a very good buy, if you want a cheap leather jacket for riding, this is just the basics then this is a really good choice. When it comes to hitting and sliding on the pavement, there are better things, but they cost more. The closest $30 competitor will be the Joe Rocket 5.0 jacket. Joe Rocket is not leather, but textile. I ended up buying a Cortech jacket which fits well and offers good protection.
