Review on 🔌 Enhanced Cable Matters 4 Port 4K HDMI Splitter - Perfectly Compatible with 4K Resolution by Chad Gravely

--- First complaint --- I've had one of these new ones in the box for almost a year and today I decided to use it on a video recording setup I was trying out. The device worked well enough, but after some testing I found that it reversed the left and right audio of the HDMI signal passing through. I tested all output ports and they all suffer from reverse sound. I don't know if this will mess up other 5.1 channels as I only tested the stereo signal. I currently have a support request with Cable Matters. We'll see if they fixed the problem in newer products, updated the firmware, or just ignored the problem report. --- Updated Information --- The problem was that the EDID DIP switches were set to "3D 1080P Stereo". . Not sure why this changed the sound field, but when it was changed to "Auto Detect" the stereo was back in the correct position. Be sure to check that the sound is positioned correctly once you have the DIP switches fixed to a specific value.
