We have almost the same helmet from another brand that is well made and very comfortable. I'm not sure exactly what's in this helmet, but it appears to be a bit more "stiff" on the inside and less comfortable and flexible. The leather chin strap is a little stiff and looks cheaper but will hopefully soften over time. The clasp is also a bit finicky and doesn't snap easily, you really need to be sure all the pieces line up. Over time this may become easier as I get used to the nuances of the clasp. Luckily I haven't had to find out if this helmet offers good impact protection yet, but I believe it will, although it's not entirely comfortable. It looks very nice on the outside and can hardly be distinguished from our other helmet.
