Good desktop charger but some minor gripes. This works great as a desktop charger/power strip. I like that the power cord is detachable and is a standard cord, if it ever needs to be replaced it's easy. The power button controls the USB ports, and there's an indicator light to show when it's on. Personally, I'll probably never turn them on or off, but I think it's good to have that option. The phone slot is too small. The phone or tablet will be bare for sure if you have a thin case I guess. I have a slim case and it fits, but mostly sits upright. My 8" Fire tablet with slim case doesn't fit. It should be a little wider and a little deeper. Other than that, it's well built and I like it, but there are others that I think would hold phones/tablets better.
