Review on Noctua NF F12 5V Premium Quality Quiet by Michael Lucas
The Noctua NF-F12 5V is efficient but makes an annoying hum on a table.
My desktop is about 35dB loud when no fan is running, but goes up to 53dB at 180+ hum with Noctua NF-F12 5V- Fan works whether it's plugged into my laptop USB port or a 5V USB charger. Noctua's sound is about the same as the AC Infinity Axial LS1238 Quiet Muffin Fan, 120V, 8W AC, but Axial's sound has a wide range and isn't as noticeable. When installed in a computer case, the sound from Noctua may not be as noticeable.
