Review on Nash Ingenuity Trio: Versatile 3-In-1 High Chair, Toddler Chair, And Booster Seat by Shah Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value, dual tray feature is a must

I have had this high chair for two years without any issues aside from taking it apart, because some liquid was coming out recently. It drained easily, but since I saw some reviews about maggots, I wanted to be sure all was well inside. All was well, and there wasn't even liquid left within. (The liquid was probably urine; we are potty training diaperless.) It is the best value for all the features that I could find on the market. I spent a few hours looking. The dual tray feature ROCKS. When you are in a hurry in the morning and rush out the door and then come back and need to feed your child a snack, the second tray is great, because kids this age don't like to wait around to eat while you wash their tray and prepare food. The tray doesn't fit in my portable dishwasher except across the top rack, but I don't mind. I generally hand wash it, since kids eat 5 times a day anyway and there isn't time to run it in the dishwasher. It held up fine the several times I used it in the dishwasher though, just had to dump out the water that collected on the top of the tray. Great strap for baby between the legs to keep him from sliding out, and the shoulder straps grew with him until he was able to sit up on his own. At this point I've taken out the shoulder straps and just use the bottom straps. Very versatile. Easy to wipe down and clean. The padded cover comes off and air dries faster than any other article I have tried air drying, so he can eat on the pad as soon as the laundry is done. It's easy to wipe down, too. I have recommended this to friends. My only complaint is not due to the chair design so much as the style of my house is I wish the toddler chair had a feature to connect the tray still. My kitchen only has a tall bar table in it and the toddler chair doesn't work with it, since it's shorter now that the high chair/booster seat is unattached. The booster chair won't fit on the bar stools. However, it fits fine on our dining room chairs. you could use the high chair or booster seat with the toddler chair seperately if you have two kids. They provided enough extra straps to do so.I've seen a couple reviews about maggots, and I empathize--that's gross. But I wouldn't be deterred from buying the chair. See photos for reasons why. The first photo is the bottom piece of the chair overwhich the pad and the child's bottom sits. It has a hole for the buckle to insert into. This is the only entry point for bugs. The second photo is with the buckle inside. It needs to be that size for the strap to fit safely in. The third photo is the "inside" of the seat if you were to take it apart. You can see the bottom of the buckle and the extra fabric as a safety there to keep the buckle from coming out when the child is sitting in it. I've never had maggots and took my chair apart today just to be sure to give a legit review.
