I saw the picture in this ad and thought it looked like a band-aid you could buy in packs of 20 to give away at children's parties, right? But they are DIFFERENT. I had an emergency test at an eye clinic and they used one of these during that time. I asked what brand it was because it was the most comfortable patch I've ever tried. It looks like the others at first glance, but this one has foam padding on the outside that touches your face, so the patch doesn't touch your eye, doesn't touch your lashes (unless they're longer than average), and such furthermore plastic edges don't scratch and rub my face as much (I have chubby cheeks so the edge still touches my face when I smile or chew). The foam and non-specific shape (you know some of them are right or left eye specific? this isn't one of them) combined with a loose elastic band make them comfortable for any eye. I really thought that the loose elastic was too weak to hold the patch and besides it would rip right away. So far, however, it's holding up and looks like it's such cheap gum that it could be cheaply replaced. The big surprise is that the looser fit is better than the tighter elastics and velcro straps I've tried. Maybe it's because the foam somehow keeps it on your face more? I do not know. But whatever the magic that makes it so convenient, I'll take it! CONS: They still cause problems with the glasses, however they don't move as often as every other brand and type I've tried (box full) and I don't have to adjust my glasses as often.
