Kaken Big vs. Maxi vs. Regular Kanken

I use a regular Kanken bag as my baby's diaper bag, but before the birth of my second child I wanted a larger bag. After much discussion between the Kanken Big Backpack and the Maxi Kanken, I chose the Big because it has a side pocket and the Maxi doesn't. The side pocket is a bit narrow, but it fits my phone or a narrow spill-proof cup. The maxi has an additional zipped compartment to expand the size of the bag, but this bag has more than enough space for my two kids' belongings. The side pocket fits snugly on a standard sized plastic water bottle. I looked at many other diaper bag backpacks but found them to be very expensive and very heavy. I love how light and large this backpack is. The padded shoulder straps are excellent, the regular Kanken doesn't have padded shoulder straps. The front zip pocket is also nice and large and easy to access. A few negatives are that the removable seat cushion is just a thick piece of black styrofoam. Doesn't look pretty but I think it does the trick. Another minus is that on the outside of the bag (I bought it in black) it's very easy to get white streaks/marks. The streaks appear when I rub the bag against something like a wall or in the folds of the bag. They can be rubbed off, but I suspect the bag's material is somehow causing these white marks. I am attaching a picture of my regular Kanken (green) and my large backpack (black) for size comparison.
