I really need more outlets for my living room as there is always a problem when multiple people want to plug in their laptop in game and charge their phone. I tried the USB port with my Samsung Lightning cable for my phone and it worked just as well as ever - handy so my friends don't have to bring the appropriate adapters. The distance is very convenient for my laptop to have a place next to the TV port and now I can extend it and get to the HDMI port at the same time. The cable is a good length but thick and doesn't get tangled, overall worth the purchase.
