Must have for active dog parents

Absolutely LOVE this set. So far I've used it for biking/hiking over 100 miles with my dog through neighborhoods, parks and woods. The material seems durable with regular to heavy use, however I would recommend using an additional strap to keep your dog tethered for long periods of time. I'm a 5ft 4in female who falls into the fit and fat category so I have a large bust. This was probably the hardest part of this pack, adjusting the straps that held the pack in place but didn't choke me. The BEST part of this pack in my opinion is being able to use an external bungee pouch to attach a collapsible bowl for storing dogs (shown in purple) and get it out and water my dog while it's on me! Shoulder strap bags are great for poop bags and can also be tossed in a bungee bag until a bin comes along. It has enough space for a small first aid baby and bike tool/pump, as well as a water bladder. for me, as well as some snacks for me and the dog. The trekking pole loops are great for conveniently attaching my helmet and there is another loop at the bottom of the pack that I often use to attach my gloves when not in use. The only real improvement I would suggest is that the hanging loop at the top of the pack feels a little flimsy, especially when I usually have my pack ready when it's hanging. with the stitching and loop still holding but I think he'll be the first to wear it. The padding is adequate and while it doesn't hold its structured shape very well, I feel like a second skin when wearing it. I assume it works well in summer too, but my experience so far has only been in winter.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
