I was so excited when it arrived and immediately set about replacing the faceplate. I've disassembled and cleaned a few PS4 controllers, so this is nothing new to me. The pad holding the start button didn't fit very well, but I got it to work and the rest of the buttons were fine. Then came the final part - to connect the back and front. Turns out the new faceplate is warped so it will never fully snap into place! Well maybe if I can still get the screws in it will hold up enough? nope! One of the screw holes is covered with orange chrome plastic! It looked cool right away, but was so cheaply made it was literally unusable.
