Review on 🔊 SMSL Q5 Pro Digital Amplifier: 2-50W USB/Coaxial/Optical, Remote Control, Black by Deron Gilliam

I bought this to replace my old onboard NAD. and chose this based on reviews (here and elsewhere) and my need for a subwoofer, DAC and optical input. pretty much anything I could wish for to turn any electrical sound source (other than a phono stage) into vibrations my ears can perceive. And that's sovereign - I'm not "audiophile". but I know well and not so well. THAT counts as GOOD. really TOP for the price and the size. except for the remote control. God what an insult to the console. If I put a battery in, it will be discharged in 48 hours. And getting it out again is problematic. So I live without a remote control. I use it to stream audio from my Samsung Smart Video via optical video/TV out, local or internet audio streaming, or from my Note 5 phone (either via Aux or USB - it really works and the DAC sounds Well!). In general. very good. I love living in the 21st century - once expensive and heavy electronics can be replaced by small, energy efficient but fully featured devices like this. (just like I'm switching to a Ryzen processor. more pops, less hassle)
