I'm on a diet and eat a lot of fish. This little fridge has worked in hotels and now in our temporary home during our 1000 mile trip from Texas to North Carolina, keeping FISH frozen! There is an eco and a normal mode. My car had no problem keeping the temperature below freezing. We started with 33F because I also had regular groceries, then I got braver and adjusted it to 22F. While we were at the hotel we plugged it in and set it to 0F. The flash freezes food in minutes. My spouse didn't take soy milk or yogurt so I was actually upset but impressed. We now use it as a freezer with a regular mini fridge on the side. Be sure to follow the instructions and let the device run for a while/test it at home for about a day before using it.
