The plastic looks high quality. I had to get a new hat.
The product was not manufactured correctly. With this thermostat, the car heats up to 220 degrees and stays there. In the end, the coolant transfer tube cap broke. Buy a complete crossover tube and thermostat here on Amazon. The cost is much higher, but at least you only have to do the repair once. Don't get stuck twice and on the street. The plastic looks high quality. Had to buy a new cap as the old one didn't seal, so adding to that cost is even more reason to buy a full kit. The new installation will work stably at 203 degrees.
