I'll start by saying that I'm an adult, I wear women's size 7.5 in Keens and men's size 6.5 in shoes like Adidas/Nike. I have found that I can also fit in children's shoes. I usually wear a size 5 in Big Kids Keens. I also have wide feet, but I don't usually buy "wide" shoes. I bought this shoe in a "wide" size and it definitely fit my foot width, but overall it was too big. If I had worn socks with him they might have fitted better so I sent them back. I bought a size 5. I couldn't figure out how to tighten the toe box, maybe I missed it. They seemed solid but a little heavier than I wanted. (I'm trying to find a replacement for my Keen Newport sandals, 7.5 women). I was also looking at the Keen Seacamp size 5 for kids. I thought they were lighter but didn't feel like I could run a few miles in them (not as good support as my Newports). I'm sure they could be fine, but I didn't want to risk it. I liked that Merrell had plus sizes and now I can look at regular children's shoes from them when they are wide.
