I wasn't sure about the quality and if it would hold up being clamped onto a bedside table, table or headboard. We bought this as a birthday present for my son who will be watching videos on his phone while lying in bed holding the phone. I know it was impractical and considering the price I thought why not try it. That works great. Attaches to its headboard with a fairly thick consistency. He really likes how easy it is to watch videos on iPhone and that he doesn't have to hold the phone in his hands.
