The desk assembles with screws that attach to parts with built-in threads, including veneered MFBs, which are way better than the crappy chipboard you get from regular packaged received furniture. MFBs are RELIABLE and have a good weight! In total you need to work with 2 nuts. The middle board is neatly attached to the 2 halves and is handled as a unit. My 5 year old helped by getting the numbered pieces I requested and holding the piece I was attached to. The whole thing took about two hours. This is the biggest DIY kit I've ever had, and the only pieces of wood are the worktables and PC cart (more like a skid, but worth it). 2 pieces of wood remain. NO PANIC! It is only a packaging material that is gnawed when handling the packaging, not cutlery! Of course, that was the first thing that struck me, and then I calmed down when they had nothing to do with the final product. So the best in construction AND delivery!
