For a backpacking novice, you may think that $200 for a backpack is very expensive, but after looking at a few options, you realize that all you have to do is "buy once, cry once" to get the right gear.. Eberlestock really redesigned this package. To be honest, I will buy more bags from Eberlestock in the future. This is a great bag for hiking, camping and working out. I still have room in my bag but it is about 3/4 full and carries a load of about 20-30 pounds very comfortably. I love the zippered side pockets for quick access to items like energy snacks or gloves.
