The inner elastic velcro straps are a bit difficult to put on but once in place they hold up really well. The inner straps must go through the tongue of the boot or they won't stay in place. I caution against over-tightening the seat belts. I have a boxer with dermatomyositis and he's struggling - so that helped us a lot (to protect his toes when he's slipping around). The full zip is a blessing and the rubber outsole is very durable. We're in the desert in the southwest, so we don't need winter boots. For the price it's the best I've used so far. I want them to come in taller boots too.
