I received this ring today and it is very nice. Substantial and comfortable. I have many pieces of hammered jewelry and this ring is not hammered in the traditional sense. I would say that this ring looks more like a thumbprint impression made several times around the outside of the band. It's as if when the silver was still hot and not completely hardened, that a tool that resembled a finger indent was pressed into the ring eight times. Pretty ring but not for everyday wear - Uncomfortable - the ring (the inside) is uneven and makes you wonder if the ring is a design flaw or a manufactured defect.
