At first I was worried about trusting the magnet to hold my radio. I decided to do some testing by attaching the mount to a steel plate and shaking it. All I can say is that you don't have to worry about your radio cutting out. The black rubber boot took all my strength to try to push off and only succeeded once (it's nothing like natural movement). However, if you're really paranoid, you can remove the rubber boot. I don't care who you are, without a suitcase this mount won't go away. I use it in my truck and never worry about it breaking. Additionally, a buddy and I tested it on his UTV and I felt comfortable with it the entire time. The actual mount is designed for multiple radios (see product description). Compatible radios are actually attached to the mount for a secure fit. In my experience, the only way to remove a locked radio is to focus on removing it from its mount (again, this cannot be compared to natural movement). In other words, with extreme magnets and a secure mount, your radio is completely safe. You can attach the magnet directly to your car, but if it's not a completely flat surface I would recommend using the included mounting disc for the most secure attachment possible. The manual says you can remove the magnet and fixed mount on the dash. That sounds great for those who have a custom car, but my situation doesn't guarantee it. There are two rubber spacers to choose from to ensure proper spacing for different radio models. These pads provide the right grip and grip to keep your radio from rattling, which is really nice. In terms of quality, this mount feels solid. I've never been a fan of plastic, especially for devices that need to be durable. The case is very durable as it is made of metal. You can feel how important it really is; it looks like a premium mount. If you are looking for a high quality, strong, durable and easy to use radio mount, I would highly recommend this one.
