I confess I'm a kid when it comes to gadgets. I just love gadgets, but I really love gadgets that work! I bought the Hamilton Beach Dual Breakfast Sandwich Machine hoping my kids could get a healthier dose of this popular fast food sandwich! Much to my surprise, it served its purpose and more! Wouldn't it be easier to put an egg in a pan, fry it and fry a cake? There the decision is shared. My husband is old fashioned and happy if he messes up just one more pan, spatula, oil, etc. I'm ready to try new and healthier options! I'm not going to take you step-by-step through the process that some have already done, but I'll tell you -1. We didn't cover it with anything (no spray, no oil, nothing) and we had no sticking.2. We preferred 6 minutes cook time for eggs, ham and cheese - and yes, even eggs and peppers!3. Cut the cheese/meat into 1/4 pieces so there is no overlap on the outside. It helps a lot even in light cleaning!4. Don't just limit yourself to breakfast! Wow! Fine roast beef and some flavorful provolone and you have a fantastic sandwich for lunch or dinner! Mozzarella, tomatoes and basil! You are the sky is the limit here! 5. It's easy enough for kids, but it gets hot so you'll have to keep an eye on it. Cleaning is a breeze. Everything is wiped clean. It is so easy. I hope this helps clear up some of these mixed reviews! The photo I chose is the very first sandwich a teenager made without reading the instructions. He did a great job! We've since improved it and will be uploading more photos of our expanded grilled sandwich menu!
