thicker than normal dress shoe laces

i bought these because of the price. while i don't regret purchasing it, i wish the laces where thinner & stiffer; these seem to be a mix of dress shoe lace & sneaker lace. the shoe i put these on seem to get untied a lot more frequently than normal, but again, its worth the price if you need some replacement dress laces.
