I've always wanted a duvet that actually fits a Cal King bed. I think I got mixed up with the different reviews upon arrival and was really sad that it was so thin. Stuffed in a dryer on low heat until fluffy - not fluffy. Decided to give it a try as the overall size was large. My dog decided he didn't like it and less for a few hours after making his bed. I washed it (twice in the front loading washing machine to make sure it was clean), dried it on medium speed, hoped for the best, and let it dry for a day. That same pup decided to take the comforter for a walk, so we washed it AGAIN and dried it AGAIN and hung it out to dry (she obviously hates that comforter). After drying, I made the bed again and we went to bed. Okay, it might not look as fluffy as I was hoping, but it's awesome. Good weight and the perfect level of warmth for our Southern California winter evenings. I don't know how it will perform in colder climates, but for us it's ideal. The choice of sizes is great, except for the matching duvet cover. I have two duvets on each side of the bed and a hanging footboard that covers a very thick mattress. Applied. Excellent for washing and drying durability as well as softness and softness.
