I was surprised at how light it is! You won't want to use it where it's cold! I used it in Brazil where it was perfect for hot summer rains but I couldn't use it at other times because the rain got too cold. And do not tolerate heavy rain. I got wet anyway, but the regular rain didn't let me get wet. But it's cute, I get compliments every time I wear it. It was easy to put in my bag and lightweight. The only complaint is that the hood is so big it covers my face and I couldn't see anything. I tried to get it to stay where it still kept me dry but I could see but it just covered my face or pushed it back so my head then got wet.
