It was a much more noticeable upgrade for my 144Hz monitor than I expected. Not only is it faster, but it also has better colors and a much less "blurry" image effect at high refresh rates. This greatly improved my hit-scan accuracy in high-speed FPS games like Quake titles. However, I have an important remark. The stand is far more intrusive than any other monitor I've owned and I've had at least a dozen over the years. My mouse pad (heavy qck) has to hang off the table to get my monitor where I want it. There's no shortage of desktop space. If you want the keyboard and mouse pad where you're used to, then the monitor is a few inches further away than you'd expect from a competitive gamer. Keep in mind that this is a good enough panel to warrant a proper desktop mount, but Quakecon LAN is coming and I'll have to find some kind of stand to attach it to for that, but it would be awful using it would need a stand that comes with the kit. I mean it looks cool but I'm 100% into fashion so I hate it. I recommend the monitor for the value for money. If you never want to connect to it via LAN, just get the right mount to attach it to and you're good to go. However, if you need any sort of portability, I would suggest looking into 240Hz monitors with a smaller footprint.
