Light hatchet. You get what you paid for.
A very simple light hatchet. It's not clear what the hype is about. I can't split wood with it as it doesn't have enough weight or length to allow significant downward movement, but it handles kindling from logs fairly well. Possibly another use I can use to work with real woodwork, but for real camping use I'll stick with a full length hatchet. As mentioned earlier, this is a replacement for a long knife if you prefer to carry a smaller profile knife and opt for a ribbon hatchet for light work.
