Great little hatchet. Excellent quality, durable, sharp and feels good in the hand. I give it 5 stars and recommend it, but be warned because it has such a small handle that your knuckles will hit almost any surface you chop. I don't like it at all, but I think I'll buy it with a slightly longer handle.

On first use I found the handle is so short it can't be used, you can't really rotate it and there is no weight in your head to turn to lower him. It took me about 40 minutes to cut several small logs into smaller pieces and start a fire, while with an ax it would take 10 minutes. I thought I needed an ultra light hatchet for hiking, but I was planning on ordering a longer, heavier hatchet, a little frustrated with that.

Brought to the yard after receipt and use. We had a big ice storm and swollen hair all over. The soft edge was clean from the start. Not super sharp, but with a few stone chips it's ready to go.
