Dex was great! when it worked i would like to know more about this device when i bought my phone. My Note 8 was all I needed for a while, but with the ability to connect HDMI, mouse and keyboard it's become a gaming machine. I ditched my cable TV to use my phone for streaming and now it's a computer too. Unfortunately, all the good sides of this device are no longer as good as they were at the beginning. For some reason, the Dex stations sold here do not have a manufacturer's warranty and do not come with official power adapters. Luckily I have a small collection of charging cables and adapters. The only thing that worked was my Japanese cable that I bought in Japan. It worked fine for a while, but then it stopped working too. There's no indicator light to let you know it's a power issue so some electrical knowledge helped but it was a real pain. So I connected some cables and tried different outlets but still no luck. So they sent me a replacement. This time none of the cables worked. So I sent both devices back and will try the Dex panel. Unfortunately I lose my ethernet connection but I get a fan which comes in handy as the phone gets pretty hot on the Dex station. So sad and a waste of time especially when the phone agents screwed up the return. who helped in this matter. I ended up buying a Dex Pad, it works much better.
