They were well packed. These are plastic shelves. The second picture is a comparison between this product and my daughter's ears (baby sized ears). This product is slightly longer than a Walmart baby's ears. They are a bit long for my 2 year old, I see no reason why I couldn't shorten them as they are all plastic. They are missing backs in the kit. I think only half is enough. The backs are rubber. This would be a great product for those with sensitive ears or those whose children keep losing them. Cheap cheap if you lose one you have 143 more.
