Review on 🚲 Allen Sports Premier 4-Bike Trunk Rack S104: Efficient Black Model for Easy Transportation by John May

Great Choice for Outdoor Recreation

I worked at one of the top 50 bike shops in the country (by sales) from the early 1980's to the mid 90's. We've sold almost every brand you can think of. Of all the bike racks available, the inexpensive, basic Allen 103A was the one with the fewest breakdowns, falls and problems, and although we've sold many thousands of these bike racks, many buyers wanted better-looking bike racks from their competitors, even though most bike shops at the time were staff time used 103. To date and I don't know about current bike products but with my family I needed a car trunk that could hold 3 tons. Bikes are easy. It was cheaper, and even though they aren't made in the US anymore, I decided to take a chance. After using this week I am very happy with my purchase. It's very sturdy - in fact, my only complaint is that it's quite heavy. Maybe they're all like that now? although it was made as part of a military outfit and fits both my Honda Fit and Forester perfectly. One of the tests for me was: can you move the car in the suspension by holding onto the trunk, or does the trunk move? The thing is firmly attached to the car. Others I tried didn't pass this test, even though they cost a lot more.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Vulgarity
