Review on Leak Proof Travel Bottles - TSA Approved 3 oz Silicone Squeezable Shampoo Containers - Refillable Toiletries Set for Shampoo, Conditioner, and Lotion by Ken Gray

Sealed, TSA Approved? is this a joke?

I bought these for air travel. I liked the colors and the way they looked. They had a clear plastic case with a zip (as required) and the bottles had wide necks which made them easy to fill. That's why I gave them two stars because it all went downhill after that. The bottles were very, very soft. I couldn't figure out how they stayed screwed to their top at all. They seemed so fragile that I also put them in a plastic ziplock bag. When I first used them, it was difficult to squeeze different products out of the bottles. I think that's part of their attempt to make them hermetic. So you really have to apply more pressure. In doing so, I spilled far more than I needed or could use. It was always either a wasteful amount or nothing. When I used the bottles they fell through. It looks like they just need to fill up with air, but they just wouldn't expand no matter what I did. When they were like that, they couldn't stand up straight and just fell down. The final straw came when I was trying to get some body butter out of a bottle. The lid came off and body oil spilled *everywhere*. The cap would not connect securely to the bottle, and then it was almost impossible to put the bottles back in their little plastic sleeve because they were only sticking to the sides and to each other. All of these things happened when I first used them. I would return them but by the time I used them it was already too late. What really annoys me is that their ads call them sealed and "TSA Approved". tightness? And the only thing the TSA approves is that they hold 3 ounces of liquid as needed (actually 3.4 ounces is the real limit). "TSA Approved" is a publicity stunt that means absolutely nothing, and I've found almost every seller uses it. Be careful. If you buy this or any other TSA-approved bottle, take it for a test ride before you actually need it on your trip.

Pros
