Review on SOUL S-Storm - Wireless Bluetooth Speaker - IP68 Weatherproof by Bonnie Conner

So I was very excited about this device. Based on some other reviews I figured it would be a simple and easy pairing with my phone or computer. It wasn't like that. I've tried, my husband, my son, and neither of us could get this speaker to auto-pair to anything. We all have multiple devices paired to our phones via Bluetooth so we know what we're doing and we double-checked the simple instructions but just couldn't connect them. I ended up getting so frustrated that I just turned on the device and held the button down until it blinked, then started holding down the play/call button for a few seconds and voila, it finally appeared on my phone. Holy smokers, that was fun. There is no mention of using these buttons when attempting to establish a Bluetooth connection. So I'm including this in the review to maybe help someone else. Okay, now let's move on to reviewing the Soul S-Storm Bluetooth speaker itself. This is a good compact "waterproof" floating speaker. It has a built-in 5W power output. It charges quickly with the included USB-C cable and plays for around 18 hours straight. It comes in 3 colors and I like the non-slip rubber on the outside, making it easier to hold when taking it around the pool or waterfront. I appreciate his looks and the fact that he seems rude to me. My husband asked if he could trade his speaker for mine as he really likes the look of the Soul speaker a lot more than his jbl. The sound quality is good. I wasn't expecting concert quality sound, but what it produces from a compact speaker is really good. I also liked the quality of the voice in the movie when I connected it to my tablet. It comes with a speaker, a charging cable, a Soul sticker, a small manual and a carabiner. I think the price is good, but not outstanding. Of course this can be skewed by the difficulty of pairing, jokes aside, once paired this is a really good mid to high quality compact waterproof speaker. I highly recommend.
