This could actually be a nice little car stereo at a great price. if everything works. Firstly, the metal brackets that come with the mount don't match the stereo. No two holes in the bracket line up with the device. You could probably get by with just one screw holding it in place, but that's not smart, nor is it a good 'fix'. Also, the faceplate that came with the radio had a broken tab from the factory. It didn't break in shipping as no spare plastic part rattled in the bag. needed (which I did for my setup in a 2000 Ford E-350 Van). Also, the device COULD be made slightly smaller to facilitate installation in cars that are not the standard double din size. Like my trailer. I had to use a dremel on the dash to cut off enough plastic to make it fit. Honestly, I would have to do the same for many radios. But not only the installation caused headaches. The device does not work 100%. All MP3 files played from a memory card will skip the first second of each track. This annoys a number of songs that are missing the first bars or notes. When recording tracks with the app, I recommend adding an extra second to each track. Also, it doesn't handle 1080p MP4 files very well. I tried playing a few 1080p movies and they stuttered. Again, plan to write files specifically for this device. The GPU seemed to easily handle the 720p files I tested. All the above issues aside, this is otherwise a good little radio. It has decent performance to keep the standard speakers loud enough, the screen is sharp and works well in bright light, it works well with FM stations, the UI is pretty easy to navigate and I had no trouble pairing with mine. Phone. Can't say I would recommend this to everyone but it will do in a pinch and have enough scratches for me to go ahead and use it. I give it 3 stars because it barely performs well for media playback.
